Ghosts of Christmas Past

One of the best things about the spirit of Christmas is the memories.

If we are fortunate enough to have happy ones, we are fortunate indeed. So today, we are sharing a few photos from Christmases past, when gathering was part of the celebration! We miss this chance to share the spirit this year, but we are brightened by memories of years gone by!

Each year at Christmas, our child-centered programs come alive with the joys and wonders of the season. In fact, Season of Wonder is a long-running holiday celebration for the youth at St. Vincent’s Villa, our residential treatment facility for children with significant mental and emotional health challenges who need more intensive help than they can receive in a community setting. Thanks to amazing and dedicated volunteers, their faces light up when they see their gym transformed into a wonderland of decorations. And as you can tell by this little one’s face, the wonder works for all ages and visitors!

In our Head Start and Early Head Start programs all over Baltimore City and in Harford and Carroll Counties, our families get to shop in our Christmas SuperStore. Gifts donated from people like you provide our Head Start and Early Head Start parents with the chance to make their children’s holidays bright with gifts they might not otherwise be able to afford, and our teachers and staff, like the ladies you see here, make the space feel festive!
