Christmastime is here!

Mount Vernon Camerata

Harken back to Dickensian brass ensembles with the Mount Vernon Camerata, featuring musicians from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

The virtual curtain goes up at 7 p.m.!

There’s just something about the sounds of a brass quintet at Christmastime. In this mini-concert, the Mount Vernon Camerata plays a mix of traditional and fun pieces that bring the spirit to life inside the beautiful St. Ignatius sanctuary.

The Mount Vernon Camerata is made up of instrumentalists from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Mount Vernon community. Founded by BSO Principal Trumpet Andrew Balio, joined by Assistant Principal Trumpet Rene Shapiro, Principal Tuba Aubrey Foard, Fourth Horn Beth Graham, and Assistant Principal Trombone John Vance – plus special guest daughter Tehya Shapiro on the bells – this mini-concert was recorded at St. Ignatius Church exclusively for Catholic Charities’ Comfort & Joy.
